UNIVERSAL ZULU NATION FOUNDER AFRIKA BAMBAATAA EXPLAINS REASON FOR IT'S INCEPTION BY TRICIA L. ROBINSON EDITOR-IN-CHIEF CLUBMATRIX360 MAGAZINE URBAN MUSIC CULTURE FASHION ENTERTAINMENT FOR LIFE

The Universal Zulu Nation, founded by former Tommy Boy Records recording artist Afrika Bambaataa the Godfather of Hip Hop Music a Native New Yorker was created to bring gangs together in a positive way later adopting others to participate in leading the charge to develop a more positive movement instead of gangs fighting in the streets and doing negative things to destroy their communities founder of the Zulu Nation Afrika Bambaataa decided to create an organization that would put disadvantaged people on the right track by giving them a platform to display their hidden talents and put their business skills to good use by helping build their communities socioeconomically. Hip Hop music and culture plays a leading role in today's mainstream genre whose artists reap the benefits and share their fortune with the communities that they represent. Hip Hop has suffered it's ups and downs publically and privately but has also managed to produce the creme de la creme of business entrepreneurs, artists, and has provided jobs for people in fractured communities afflicted by poverty and violence. A grand scale of hip hop artists have rags to riches stories followed by other artists whose backgrounds meet at the crossroads weaving their stories that coincide creating what has become a global phenomenon. Hip Hop Music, Culture & Fashion has become apart of Americana like Rock N' Roll, Gospel, Funk, Jazz, Bebop, Country,  and Pop Music. When Afrika Bambaataa and Hip Hop Music first burst onto the scene back in 1973 it wasn't classified as another novelty act or even called alternative music although it has made it's mark in all forms of American music and American Historyand overseas the style and mindset were pretty much accepted by mainstream America and the international community abroad as well. Hip Hop artists have done charitable work and community service such as helping send care packages and pledging donations for victims of natural disasters by holding concerts to help benefit victims of natural disasters through out the world. Hip Hop artists come from all walks of life artists like MC Lyte come from a working class background and most of the hip hop artists are children of former Civil Rights activists such as Tupac Shakur. Chicago's hip hop leaders standing on the forefront leading the hip hop movement are Zulu King Cashus D. IZQ, Bboy Ray Rivera and many others who are keeping the legacy alive and thriving both locally, nationally, and internationally. Most critics would consider hip hop a dangerous game to get involved in since it's highly talked about feuds and setbacks were made public however the genre has had a positive impact on our communities for the past decade Hip Hop has been a mixed blessing a lot of people have become household names like Russel Simmons  thanks to Hip Hop and it's founder, and Godfather Afrika Bambaataa and it's council of hip hop elders who continue to lead Hip Hop in different directions producing even more mixed blessings for the communities that they represent despite it's drama. Hip Hop Appreciation Months are November and May to gain insight into this phenomenonal world of trendsetters such as Afrika Bambaataa and Kool Herc who invited everyone to this exculsive party participate, donate, contribute learn and experience the world of Hip Hop through research and interacting with hip hop activists within the global community.
